This policy explains how Deike & Associates LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information through jaydotsonspeaks.com (the "Site"), where people learn about Jay Dotson and ask to book him to speak.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you ask to book Jay, we collect your contact details (such as your name, email address, phone number and organization) and details about your event. If you use the workshop workbook, we also collect the information described in section 4.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the Site and your general location.
Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 5.
2. How we use information
- To respond to booking requests and plan events with you.
- To run, secure and improve the Site.
- To understand how visitors use the Site and which organizations show interest in Jay.
- To measure our marketing and, if you allow it, show our ads to people who have visited the Site.
- To comply with the law.
We'll contact you about your request. If you choose to receive them, we'll send you Jay's monthly email. Every one includes a way to unsubscribe.
3. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as hosting, email, CRM, analytics and advertising providers. They may use it only to provide services to us. Booking requests are handled by Jay's team at Prosper CFO.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.
We don't sell personal information. If you accept advertising cookies, our advertising partners may use them to show our ads to people who have visited the Site. You can turn this off at any time (section 5).
4. Workshop workbook
When you use the 4 D's digital workbook at a workshop, we ask for your name and email so your answers can be saved and you can come back to them. We save your answers and notes as you type, on your device and on our servers, and keep a private access key on your device so only you can open your workbook. To open it on another device, request a sign-in link sent to your email.
Your answers are private to you unless you choose "Share my answers with Jay." Jay's team can always see that you attended and how far you got, but sees your answers only if you share them, and you can stop sharing anytime. If you tick "Send me Jay's monthly email," or send Jay a question through the workbook, we add your name, email and the workshop to our CRM so we can reply or send that email. You can unsubscribe from the monthly email at any time. If you do neither, your details stay in the workbook system only.
We email you only about your workbook: sign-in links you request, your PDF if you ask for it, and one thank-you note after the workshop with a link back to your workbook. We never sell your information or share your answers with the organization that hosted the workshop.
You can delete your workbook anytime with "Delete my workbook," or by emailing jay@prospercfo.com. Deleted workbooks are permanently erased within 30 days. Workbooks that aren't used for 24 months are deleted automatically.
Analytics on the workbook follow your cookie choice and never include your answers.
5. Cookies and your choices
Some cookies are necessary for the Site to work and are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you click Accept on our cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Our providers' own privacy policies govern the cookies they set.
6. Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing jay@prospercfo.com. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under applicable law. We'll respond as the law requires and won't treat you differently for using these rights.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The Site is meant for business audiences and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.
10. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated in the United States, and information is processed there.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date.
